Hydrostatics

DHS03 - Equilibrium Tubes

Objective:

- To illustrate the liquids in connecting vessels of different shapes stand at the same level.

Apparatus:

• Four glass tubes on manifold
• Colored water
• Stand and clamp
• Lined Index card (screen)

Method

Colored water in the tubes illustrate visually the equal levels (equal Hydrostatic pressure).
